Increased home sales in Milwaukee County last year, the people are buying a house as a place to live and not as an investment, are forecasting a growth in housing over the next years.
Sales of existing homes in the four-county Milwaukee area rose 4.2% last year, but prices continued to drop – in some cases reaching average lows not seen since 2001.
Economists said Wednesday, however, that unless the economy takes a bad turn, they believe the worst likely is over for the existing-home market, and prices should begin to slowly rise as unemployment decreases and consumer confidence grows.
Still, 2011 was a tough year in residential real estate in the metro area, as foreclosures held prices down – especially in Milwaukee County – and there were many more homes on the market than buyers. Financing also remained difficult for some people interested in buying a home.
“I’ll tell you, nobody is sorry 2011 is gone,” said Mike Ruzicka, president of the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors.
Realtors sold 12,888 homes in 2011, compared with 12,367 in 2010, according Metro MLS Inc. data released Wednesday.
The average price of homes sold in Milwaukee County last year was $128,004, down almost 11% from 2010. The last time the average price was lower was in 2001, at $125,591. Sales increased in Milwaukee County by 3.4% last year.
In Waukesha County, the average sale price was $260,179, which is the lowest since an average of $256,244 was recorded eight years… continue reading

If you are in a situation that you are looking for a long-term way to get rid of the fat, then this diet is not going to assist you as much as you think. Others will see these results as being the best that you can get almost anywhere. Let’s take a look at the diet and how this can greatly affect your weight loss needs.
There is the question of what can be consumed during breakfast. This is the lightest meal of the day, as this will consist of coffee, tea or any other drink that you can drink along the day. This sounds like it is a crazy diet, but it actually tends to work quite well for the most part. This helps to get the body off to a kick start as most of your weight burned will be in the morning hours as you and your family prepares for your day. This is also when you tend to be the most active. This helps to burn the weight before you become stationary for the day.
Lunch is a little more detailed in what is allowed to be eaten. For lunch, you have a choice between chicken, veal, lobster or shrimp. This sounds like the beginning to a great lunch, the one thing that has to be remembered is that you are limited to only 100 grams of any of the four mentioned. That is the bad news, the good news is that you can choose among the following to add to your selection. Spinach, chard, chicory, tomatoes, celery, cucumber, asparagus, cabbage, beet, greens or onions. Add in the one breadstick and half of an apple and you have yourself a lunch that cannot be beat.
For dinner, the choices are pretty much the same as that for lunch. This allows for a little variety in the person’s diet the thing that has to be looked at, is what else if anything can be consumed with this diet. That is the point; this is all that you can have. If you are, a fan of cola then this will be a tough decision, as you will need to remove that from your diet altogether. This is one of the hardest parts of the diet as this can offer a wide range of different results for a person altogether.
This is the 500 calorie HCG drops diet in a nutshell. Now that you know what you need to eat and how much, you are able to take the diet to the next level and get the most from the efforts that are placed in helping the person to lose the weight that they are aiming for.

The first tests do perform from birth and if they came back abnormal, in addition to having a family history of heart disease or high cholesterol, the recommended treatment is to have a balanced diet and exercise routine. From last month the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute recommended screening all children for high cholesterol before the age of 11.
From the time they exit the womb, American children are tested. It begins with the neonatal heel prick, which draws blood to test for phenylketonuria, cystic fibrosis, and an array of other conditions. The testing continues as the child grows: hearing tests, blood lead levels, scoliosis. Now the list will include yet another item: Last month, a panel convened by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute recommended screening all children for high cholesterol before the age of 11. The American Academy of Pediatrics endorsed the recommendation, ensuring that doctors will take note.
The rationale for the panel’s new guidelines is that kids with high cholesterol generally go on to become adults with high cholesterol, and it’s better to detect and address the problem early rather than waiting several decades to do something about it. But are these tests really necessary? Will the screenings make kids healthier, or just burden them (and the health care system) with another routine procedure?
One thing’s certain—the new guidelines mark a clear departure from what came before. Recommendations issued in 1992 advised screenings only for children with a family history of heart disease or high cholesterol. Kids who tested abnormally would be prescribed diet and exercise, or a drug if those didn’t help. But cholesterol testing has never before been advised for all children, and the new guideline represents a staggering reduction—by nearly three decades—in the age at which the average person would receive his or her first cholesterol… continue reading

The inch long purple, reddish fruit from the acai palm is what is being called the acai berry. The acai palm grows naturally in South and Central America. It is akin to the cranberry, blueberry and some of the other deep purplish fruits. Researchers have been studying the antioxidant properties of the acai berry. It is believed the acai berry’s antioxidant qualities may help prevent certain cancers and heart diseases. There are many substances in acai berries, which are called flavonoids and anthocyanins. These antioxidants are very potent. They help the body fight off stress. Acai berry is one of the fruits or foods high in antioxidants. These are necessary for cleaning out many of the impurities in the body. Researchers agree with a diet in high antioxidants fruits to help keep a person healthy, but there is no actual proof the acai berry causes you to lose weight. The healthy diet may prevent the person from gaining any extra weight. The enzymes and fiber found in these powerful acai berries does offer help in a person’s digestive process.
Some people can have allergic reactions to the acai berry. Most of these people are the same ones that experience allergies to pollen. Many cosmetic companies in the production of their products use Acai Berries. The acai berry oil can be a safe substitute to using some of the other oils of tropical plants when used in skin therapies, hair products and other beauty aids.
It is reported the acai berry is not only high in antioxidants, but also these leads to higher levels of stamina and energy. The acai berry can have a good repertoire on the immune system. Some of the impurities in the body come from cigarettes, pesticides and pollution, which the acai berry’s antioxidants can help prevent damage done by these nasty cells, which damage the body. These antioxidants and the fatty acids found in the acai berry help to fight against the bad cholesterol while keeping the good cholesterol on tract. The fatty acids found in the acai berry helps in the absorption of certain vitamins.
Anthocyanins found in the acai berry and other similar berries are considered rare. These have been associated with facilitating people who have diseases of the eye. The acai berry is reported to help with many other health issues of the eye or vision. The acai berry contains vitamin B, which aids a person in getting a restful night’s sleep. The acai berry seems to be an all around healthy food.

If you decide to try the HCG diet (and we recommend that you try hcg drops) then it is important to ensure that you understand exactly what the experience will entail. You need to be sure that you can make a real commitment to following the HCG diet protocol, without cheating, if you are going to achieve the best weight loss results. You should therefore read over the HCG protocol, particularly the menus that you will be able to choose from, so that you have a good idea of what to expect and exactly what you are taking on when you start the HCG diet.
You will need to be ready to eat only the types and amounts of foods that are allowed on the HCG diet protocol. This can be difficult because you will be eating a far more restricted diet than usual, so you need to be ready to make a commitment to work hard when you start this diet plan. You should not expect it to be easy to stick to this diet since you will need to make big changes to the way that you eat.
Despite the doses of HCG that you will be taking, you may still feel an appetite or craving for prohibited foods during this diet, which you will need to overcome. However, the HCG should help prevent you from feeling hungry, although it will affect some people more than others. Most people do not feel hungry at all when they are taking HCG, but a few dieters do still feel some hunger, although often this is merely because they are unable to differentiate between hunger (or the need to eat) and appetite (or wanting to eat, even without being hungry).
If you do stick to the rules of the diet, then you should expect to experience steady, rapid weight loss, which in most people will be of between 1 and 2 pounds a day.
